Pete O’Neill: Hold Me Now

Our friend Pete O’Neill sent us this video with his solo fretless bass arrangement of “Hold Me Now” by the Thompson Twins.

“During the insanity of last year, I released an EP of 80s covers, hoping to take a journey back to a time when my biggest fear was the monster under my bed,” Pete shared. “‘Hold Me Now’ is one of those songs I remember from the days of cramming in the back seat with my brothers during those long car trips in our wood-paneled station wagon… Here, I tried to apply the tapping, harmonics, and slapping techniques I had been working on in 2020 to a solo arrangement.”
