Fodera Introduces “34×24” Emperor 4 Standard Bass

Fodera is kicking off 2022 with the mantra “new year, new model.” They’ve just unveiled a new edition of the Emperor 4 Standard that features a 34-inch scale and 24 frets.
The “34×24” Emperor 4 Standard retains the model’s body shape. It’s built with an alder body and three-piece hard rock maple neck complete with a Pau Ferro fingerboard. The first ten basses will be made with a flamed oak top, while subsequent builds will have figured walnut on their faces. The combination of woods helps to deliver “warm, tight lows, transparent mids, and just enough top-end to make an incredibly balanced sonic palette,” they write.
Fodera fits the new model with their dual coil pickups matched to an active/passive Fodera/Pope 3-band Standard preamp. Hardware includes a Fodera 19.0 mm Standard Bridge. The hardware comes in black with the option to upgrade to gold or chrome.
