Tony Levin is gearing up to have a busy year. After announcing he’ll be on a world tour with Peter Gabriel, he’s unveiled a hefty set of concerts with Stick Men alongside Markus Reuter and Pat Mastelotto.
Peter Gabriel has revealed he has a new album in the works, plus he announced his first set of tour dates in seven years. Gabriel will be kicking things off in Europe with his regular bandmates, including Manu Katché, David Rhodes, and Tony Levin.
In 2014, the world lost a musical giant with the passing of Jack Bruce. Jeff Berlin began working on a tribute album shortly after his passing, and now that album is available as “Jack Songs,” with an unreal cast of musicians.
Today is Tony Levin’s birthday, and we’ve spent the day listening to the wealth of music he’s been a part of over the years. Here he is rocking it out with Liquid Tension Experiment on “Hypersonic”. The tune is from “LTE3”, which was released in April 2021.
The Stick Men have just released a limited edition EP, marking the trio’s first new music in six years. “Tentacles” is a five-song collection that runs 30 minutes, but that’s plenty of time for the band to dig in.
King Crimson has had a long and storied past in its 50 years with multiple lineups and multiple sounds. Now the highly influential progressive rock band is the focus of a new documentary called “In the Court of the Crimson King”.
