I love everything about Playing For Change. Their videos, and their mission, are inspiring. Here’s their latest, with Manu Chao performing “Tantas Tierras” with Wailers drummer Carlton “Santa” Davis, bassist Gambeat, and other musicians from nine countries.

Bob Weir’s debut solo album, “Ace,” has been re-released for its 50th anniversary in a Deluxe edition. The 1972 album has been remastered and packaged as a double CD in addition to digital streaming formats and a limited edition vinyl set.

Sean O’Bryan Smith has returned with a brand new album entitled “Musings of an Occasional Somebody.” The bassist, who also plays multiple other instruments, calls it his first full-production New Age project.

I was sad to learn of David Crosby’s passing. CSNY was a big part of the soundtrack of my youth, and I spent the evening watching their videos. Here’s a great clip of the group performing Crosby’s “Almost Cut My Hair.”

Another incredible project born during the lockdown is now seeing the light of day. Eurachord is a trio featuring Aidan Zammit, Gianni Vancini, and Lorenzo Feliciati. They’ve just released their self-titled debut, showcasing their virtuosic playing.
