Bass of the Week: Alusonic Django Deluxe 4 Cass Lewis Signature Bass
Skunk Anansie bassist Cass Lewis has been an Alusonic endorser for some time, and the company has just created a new bass for him. The Alusonic Django Deluxe 4 Cass Lewis Signature Bass offers “something unique and innovative,” the company writes.
“The body is chambered, and Alperious provided us with the stunning steel top we glued together to obtain a structurally lightweight sandwich. The body provides great attack, a lot of harmonics, and endless sustain,” they explain. “Neck it’s made by Hard Maple with carbon fiber reinforcing rods and composite fretboard, we put on custom Red Bones inlay. Pickups and preamp are made by Alusonic, the pickups are “hybrid” Alnico5/Neodymium magnet, there is a top quality preamp with Volume, Treble, and Bass and also a 5-way selector switch to obtain five different sounds.”
