Learn How To Play Pull-Offs: Essential Funk Bass Technique – Part 2

Here’s a follow-up to the previous lesson about pull-offs! This time, we further develop our groove with the E minor pentatonic scale and a few built-in moves perfect for pull-offs.

While it’s typically used in funk, this can be applied across all genres of music. I consider it the sibling technique to the hammer-on because they’re essentially the opposite of one another… either we’re “hammering-on” to play a note with the pressure of our fretting hand, or we’re “pulling off.”
