TWA Announces the Octoverdrive Pedal
TWA is getting in the spirit of Halloween with their latest pedal, the Octoverdrive Overdrive. Suited for bass or guitar, the has a dual channel setup that utilizes “undead” components, namely selenium diodes, which are obsolete and not usually used for audio.
TWA gave the two channels appropriate names.
“The ‘Treat’ channel is a thick, harmonically rich tube-like drive with optimal compression,” they write. “The ‘Trick’ channel adds a haunting, high-octave harmonic to the drive signal. Unlike other Octavia’s, the Octoverdrive retains low-end while also boosting output level.”
Other features include a three-band EQ, a dry blend control, and a Jack O’Lantern LED display when the pedal is engaged.
Check it out on bass:
The TWA Octoverdrive runs on a 9 VDC power supply and has mechanical true bypass switching. It’s open to pre-orders now for $249.
