Sire Guitars Unveils Z-Series Basses
Sire attended the 2024 NAMM Show to launch several new lines of basses, including the Z Series. It has two basses – the Z3 and the Z7 – that are their take on a classic bass design.
The Z3 has a mahogany body in rose gold, antique white, blue, and sparkle black finishes. Its hard maple neck has a c-shape profile and a hard maple edgeless fingerboard, meaning it has rolled fretboard edges. It is fitted with a single Sire standard MM pickup and the Marcus Heritage-3 preamp.
The Z7 steps things up with an alder body (swamp ash for the natural finish), a roasted maple neck, and various fingerboard materials: roasted maple for the natural finish, hard maple for mint and 3-tone sunburst, and ebony for burgundy or antique white. It also adds a J pickup in the neck position.
The Sire Marcus Miller Z3 is priced at $449 for the 4-string and $499 for the 5-string. The Z7 starts at $599 for the 4-string and $699 for the 5-string.
