Paul McCartney’s New Year’s Resolution: The Beatles Legend’s Next Chapter Includes New Album and More

Paul McCartney Got Back Tour

It’s an exciting time to be a Paul McCartney fan. Earlier this year, his long-lost Hofner bass was returned to him, and he finally got to play it on stage for the first time in five decades. That show concluded his “Got Back” tour, which featured his old bandmate Ringo Starr joining him on stage again. The Beatles ’64 documentary came out this year.

Now, Sir Paul has revealed that fans have even more to look forward to in 2025.

In answering a fan question on his website, McCartney revealed that he is working on a new album he hopes to finish now that he is off the road.

“I’ve been working on a lot of songs, and have had to put it to the side because of the tour,” he explains. “So, I’m hoping to get back into that and finish up a lot of these songs. So, how’s about that? ‘My New Year’s resolution is to finish a new album!’”

If McCartney follows through on his resolution, it will be his 19th solo studio album, following 2020’s McCartney III. Until then, we can appreciate the rest of his vast catalog.
