Schecter and Charles Berthoud Expand Signature Bass Series with a 6-String Model

Back in 2023, Charles Berthoud unveiled his new signature bass from Schecter. Now, the company has worked with the bass virtuoso to expand the series to include a six-string bass.
The Schecter Charles Berthoud CB-6 carries many of the same features as its predecessor: neck-through construction, an ash body topped with flamed maple, and EMG 45HZ pickups. It does step the scale up an inch to 35 inches for a longer string length.
“It feels great because it has quite a thin neck,” Berthoud says. “Just like with my four-string bass, I made sure this one has a really deep cutaway so you can get up to the 24th fret very easily.”
You can hear the bass in action in Berthoud’s intro video:
The Schecter Charles Berthoud CB-6 is shipping soon with a price point of $1,599.

Schecter have done some big things in the last few years. I’ve played the 6 string Diamond series Stiletto and fell in love with the feel and sound. I’m definitely interested in buying this one. Thanks .
Are they going to make a 5 string?
If it’s a Schechter….does it come in a lefty?
