Fender has expanded its Vintera II series with the Limited Edition Road Worn lineup, which features era-correct models from the ’50s and ’60s with modern upgrades. Key features to each model include a Road Worn finish, era-correct pickups, and authentic neck shapes.

Fender included one bass in the lineup: the LE Vintera II Road Worn ’60s Precision Bass.

“Featuring a variety of vintage colors finished in Road Worn® aged nitrocellulose lacquer, the Vintera® II Road Worn® ‘60s Precision Bass® recreates the look and feel of a well-played classic,” the company states. “The limited Road Worn models are enhanced with a new subtle aging process combining light checking, gentle wear patterns and a semi-gloss finish, while maintaining the authentic broken-in feel players love about vintage Fenders.”

The new P-bass is built with an alder body, maple neck, and a rosewood fingerboard with vintage-tall frets. Its pickup is based on Fender’s early-’60s split-coil design. It’s offered in two colors – Fiesta Red and Charcoal Frost Metallic – each of which is complemented with a 4-ply tortoiseshell pickguard.
