David Gross of The Bass Guitar Channel has released another instructional book for us low-enders. “Ear Training For Bassists, Vol. 1”, which comes in paperback and Kindle versions, is a booster to start hearing and understanding music in real time.

Bassist and educator David Gross has just published a new instructional book called “Bass ala Melodic Minor Modes”. The 90+ page book is a deep dive into the melodic minor scale, its chords, and its modes.

David Gross has expanded his list of instructional books by revisiting his earliest book with “Very Bassic Bass” and publishing the new method book Learning the “Fingerboard of the Six-String Bass”.

David Gross has returned with a new book called “The Three Tonic System”. The method book, which is applicable to any bass clef instrument, examines chord changes typically referred to as “Coltrane Changes”.

A little over twenty years ago, David Gross began writing a “woodshed” column for Downbeat Magazine. Now he’s expanded the concept into a new book entitled “The Bassis for Transformation: Patterns for All Bass Clef Instruments.”
