Ibanez has expanded their SR line of basses with the SR600E Series, which includes four-string, five-string, and six-string versions. The new models are crafted with an ash body, jatoba and walnut neck, and a rosewood fingerboard.
Last year, Ibanez turned heads with their new EHB headless design. Now they’ve taken the same idea and put it into a more compact size. The EHB1000S and the EHB1005SMS have all the same features as the EHB1000 but with shorter scales.
Thundercat’s bass is as unique as his playing, so this week we’re taking a look at his signature model from Ibanez. The massive six-string hollow body is made in the company’s Japanese custom shop with curly maple for the back and sides and quilted maple for its top.

Ibanez’s Artcore series of semi-hollow body instruments is getting a new bass this year called the AGB260. The short-scale bass is part of the Vibrante subset of the line and as such comes in Sea Foam Green with a pearloid pickguard.

Adam Nitti’s six-string Ibanez bass was first introduced in 2015 with the ANB1006 and followed the next year with the ANB306. Now the bassist has teamed up with the company once again to create a five-string signature bass.
