There’s a story behind Theo Katzman’s new album, “Songs in the Age of Live.” He just dropped another video from the recording at Brooklyn Steel, which features an incredible band, including his longtime Vulfpeck bandmate Joe Dart on bass.

Theo Katzman just dropped a video of his full show at Brooklyn Steel, Long Island, NY on February 21, 2020, featuring music from his upcoming album. Lucky for us, Joe Dart was on the date.

Vulfpeck fans with keen eyes may have noticed that Joe Dart was sporting a new bass in the latest Fearless Flyers videos. Now Ernie Ball Music Man has revealed the instrument to be the Joe Dart II, which adds to the company’s line of artist basses.

Here’s the video featuring the final tune from The Fearless Flyers’ third album. “Vespa” alternatively grooves and rocks hard, with Cory Wong and Mark Lettieri on guitar, Joe Dart on bass, and Nate Smith on drums.

Vulfpeck shared this video, with this note: “it started as a bad idea… and became less bad… it’s good.” Fearless Flyers with Joe Dart, Cory Wong, and Mark Lettieri on bass along with Nate Smith on drums? Yeah, we’d say that’s better than good.

Ever since they first teased it in 2018, we’ve been dying to hear what the new Bass Extremes album will sound like. Now Victor Wooten, Steve Bailey, and Gregg Bissonette have unveiled more about it. They’ve also unveiled a set of tour dates.

The Fearless Flyers have just announced they’re releasing a new album, “The Fearless Flyers III”. Here’s the first track, “Patrol Acrobatique”, with Joe Dart, Cory Wong, Nate Smith, and Mark Lettieri laying down the funk.

We first shared a video by Vulfpeck in 2011 (“Beastly“), and we were instant fans of the band and Joe Dart. It took a few years for Joe to hit the Reader Favorite list, and he’s been a mainstay since. He’s #8 on this year’s list.
