Coheed and Cambria will team up with Mastodon for an epic outing called “The Infinite Arc” Tour. The run will take place two months after Coheed and Cambria’s new album, "The Father of Make Believe," releases on March 14th.

Tool has announced a new festival in the Dominican Republic called Live in the Sand, and to say it looks promising is an understatement. The fest will feature two nights of Tool and performances by Primus, Mastodon, Coheed and Cambria, Eagles of Death Metal, King’s X, Fishbone, Wheel, CKY, and Moon Walker.

Two behemoth bands are teaming up for an extra heavy tour this year. Mastodon and Gojira will hit the road for “The Mega-Monsters Tour,” which means the nation will rumble each night to the bass lines of Troy Sanders and Jean-Michel Labadie.

Last year, one of the best metal tours was a co-headlining bill between Opeth and Mastodon. Now the bands have announced a second leg of the tour. It’s a great opportunity to catch two mighty bassists in one night: Martin Mendez and Troy Sanders.

In September of 2018, Mastodon manager Nick John passed away from pancreatic cancer. The metal mainstays have now released their newest full-length release, “Hushed and Grim”, as part of their process dealing with the profound loss.

Troy Sanders and Mastodon are in the process of working on new material, but until that’s done they’re keeping up their momentum with “Medium Rarities”. The 16-song album is a collection of live cuts, B-sides, instrumentals, and covers.
