Mastodon and Gojira Announce “Mega-Monsters Tour”
Two behemoth bands are teaming up for an extra heavy tour this year. Mastodon and Gojira will hit the road together for “The Mega-Monsters Tour,” which will cover most of the U.S. with two legs in the spring and summer. That means the nation will rumble each night to the bass lines of Troy Sanders and Jean-Michel Labadie.
The first leg begins April 18th in Portland, Oregon, and will cut down the West Coast, across the South, and back up the East Coast to wind up in Reading, Pennsylvania, on May 11th. They’ll pick up again on August 9th in Ohio and focus on the Midwest and Northeast with a handful of Canadian dates thrown in.
Mastodon’s latest album, Hushed and Grim, featured the song “Teardrinker” with a killer melodic bass solo by Sanders. Check out the video:
