Steve Bailey and Victor Wooten are continuing their outstanding series of bass webinars with a new Zoom hangout scheduled for Thursday, April 30th at 1pm Eastern, dubbed “Essential Skill-sets for Success.”

Filmmaker Nick Wells has announced the followup to his popular bass documentary, “Beneath The Bass Line.” The sequel, “Turned Up To 11,” dives into some of the more outrageous gig stories and “Spinal Tap” moments from the world’s best bassists.

Steve Bailey and Victor Wooten have organized an amazing bass hang, which is happening Thursday, April 16th. The free webinar is open to the public and will feature a conversation with Megadeth’s Dave Ellefson, Tool’s Justin Chancellor, and Billy Sheehan.

Each year, Victor Wooten puts on numerous camps at Wooten Woods in Only, Tennessee for music and nature education. Registration is now open for the 2020 camps, which range from April to September.

Has there ever been a year Victor Wooten didn’t make the annual top 10 list? I don’t remember one. Vic had some exciting news to share in 2019, as well as some of his incredible videos, placing him at #7 on this year’s “Reader Favorite Bassists” list.

Last year we shared the news that Victor Wooten and Steve Bailey were working on a new “Bass Extremes” album. Now it seems things are continuing to move forward with the group as they'll be hitting the road for a week of dates in January.

This is a tradition we love! This year, it almost didn’t happen, but Steve Bailey came through with a video for us to share, with Ron Carter, Justin Chancellor, Leland Sklar, John Patitucci, Victor Wooten, Janek Gwizdala, and Freddie Washington.

Back in 2007, Bela Fleck & The Flecktones performed the Byron Bay Bluesfest. Here’s a great clip of them playing “Throwdown at the Hoedown,” with that great intro by Victor Wooten.

Victor Wooten and his brothers Joseph, Roy, and Regi will be taking Europe by storm this November with two weeks of dates spread across the continent.

Béla Fleck & The Flecktones are keeping the party going as they’ve announced a second leg of their 30th Anniversary Tour. The group’s next round of touring will focus on the East Coast from November to March of 2020.

During the 2018 PASIC Convention, Victor Wooten’s trio took the stage and performed music from their album, “Trypnotyx.” Here’s a clip of the band performing “Liz & Opie”, with Vic, Dennis Chambers, and Bob Franceschini. Of course, they nailed it.
