A new live album from the English new wave band Japan called “Live from the Budokan – Tokyo FM 1982” is now available. Mick Karn’s sublime fretless playing is all over the record, which spans their career’s output.

Miles Davis had several important eras over his long career. Now, a newly unearthed live recording captures what is called his “Lost Septet” from his rock and fusion period. Recorded in Vienna in 1971, the band included Michael Henderson on bass.

NOFX and Frank Turner have teamed up to release a new split LP called “West Coast vs. Wessex”, which sees the two camps covering five of each other’s songs.
