Nearly six years after Wayne Static’s death, Static-X has returned with their seventh studio album. “Project Regeneration Vol 1” is a twelve-song collection and the first of two new sets featuring the final recordings of the late singer/guitarist.

Funk and soul legend Maceo Parker has just released “Soul Food – Cooking With Maceo”, which marks his first studio album in eight years. Parker tapped a handful of local musicians to make the album, including bassist Tony Hall of Dumpstaphunk.

In 1994, Joshua Redman, Brad Mehldau, Brian Blade, and Christian McBride recorded “MoodSwing.” Now the quartet is back with a new album called “RoundAgain.” While their first recording was phenomenal, they’ve only gotten better over the ensuing 26 years.

Helen Svoboda has released a new album called “Vegetable Bass”. The double bassist and vocalist used her debut solo effort as a chance to explore the “intricate combination of the overtone series and the human voice.”

Haim has returned with their third studio album, entitled “Women In Music, Pt. III”. The trio of sisters – featuring Alana on drums, Danielle on guitar and vocals, and Este Haim on bass – expand on their sound with genre-blurring textures and catchy hooks.

Leland Sklar and The Immediate Family will be featured in a live online conversation hosted by the GRAMMY Museum tomorrow. “Catching Up With The Immediate Family” will be hosted by Scott Goldman.
