Here’s some more goodness from this year’s LOCKN’ Festival. Three days ago, Tedeschi Trucks Band took the stage with Trey Anastasio and performed this cover of “Little Wing.”
Reina del Cid shared this video of a trio featuring double bass, dobro, and guitar. What makes this especially cool is that guitarist Toni Lindgren got a double bass and inspired this arrangement of Led Zeppelin’s “Ramble On.”
For the second day in a row, we’re sharing a video from what appears to be a great LOCKN’ festival. Yesterday, Vulfpeck took the stage and got the crowd going, thanks in large part to Joe Dart on his signature bass.
Two days ago, Khruangbin took the stage at the LOCKN’ Festival. At one point during their set, the band was joined by Trey Anastasio. Relix has released some of the band’s performance, with Laura Lee lays the foundation for the band’s groove.
Sean Fairchild sent us this video, and it came with a great note about the versatility of the bass. Check out his performance of “Unemployable Elite.”

Cory Wong has just released another video featuring music from his new album, “Motivational Music for the Syncopated Soul.” “St. Paul” is the album’s second track and features some terrific bass playing by Louis Cato, and an all-star cast.
Sons of Apollo shared a new video and a preview for their next album. The clip was shot during a live performance at the Roman Amphitheatre in Plovdiv in 2018. “Labyrinth” starts out with a mellow vibe, but by the mid-point, the song kicks into high gear with some incredible unison lines.
WATCH: Bassist Jeff Denson recently shared a video featuring a track from his upcoming album, “Between Two Worlds.” The tune starts with an impressive intro by drummer Brian Blade before the band kicks in. Later, Denson takes an equally impressive solo.
WATCH: We’ve always been fans of Olivier Babaz, who incorporates kalimba and double bass to make incredible music. Akoz Duo is a duo project of Olivier’s, along with his wife Julie, who plays viola. Here’s their 2011 performance of “Kalimbaz.”
Bryan Beller is gearing up to release an incredible new solo album called “Scenes from the Flood,” which drops on August 23rd. To prep listeners, he’s launched his second single from the record, “Volunteer State.”
