Theo Katzman just dropped a video of his full show at Brooklyn Steel, Long Island, NY on February 21, 2020, featuring music from his upcoming album. Lucky for us, Joe Dart was on the date.

We first shared a video by Zander Zon in May 2009 (our first month!) Zander continues to revisit his older music with new videos, and this one goes back to the beginning – his first solo bass composition, “Accelerate,” which he wrote in 2004.

Ten-year-old bassist Ellen Alaverdyan keeps bringing the videos, and she keeps impressing us. In this new one, she plays along to Metallica’s “For Whom The Bell Tolls.” (She nailed it).

Bassist Joseph Patrick Moore sent us this video he recorded with guitarist Dan Baraszu. The duo performs a jazz version of Metallica’s “Seek & Destroy!”

No Treble reader Michal Jahoda sent us this video along with this note: “If you like crazy grooves with some experimental techniques, my new playthrough video is something for you.” (I’d say he knows us well).

You can always count on Aaron Gibson to be super creative. Here’s a new video he created featuring buzzing bees from his wife’s hives and some beautiful bass. The whole thing is mesmerizing.

Our friend Jon Willis always seems to be up for a challenge. He sent us this video of him doing just that, by taking Billy Sheehan’s playalong to “Daddy Brother Lover” and performing it at 1.5x speed.

Julia Hofer is back with another “Top 5 Bass Lines” video, and this time she’s focusing on the epic lines behind Stevie Wonder’s tunes. There’s a lot packed into 7+ minutes, and it’s worth a watch.

Charles Berthoud’s videos are as fun as they are impressive. In this one, he tries out a Traveler Guitar Ultra-Light Bass and does some serious solo slap bass on it.

Vulfpeck’s Jack Stratton, aka Vulfmon, has a new album coming. Here’s a preview of what’s to come, with Jack, guitarist David T. Walker, and bassist Solomon Dorsey performing their “minimal arrangement” of “Never Can Say Goodbye.”

I watch a lot of KEXP’s live videos. This one just dropped yesterday, with Making Movies visiting the studio. Here’s the clip of the band performing “Delilah.” Diego Chi handles the bass and backing vocals.

Paul Thompson (aka pdbass) puts together some fantastic videos breaking down iconic bass lines. In this one, he takes on the excellent work of Jerry Knight on Bill Withers’ “Lovely Day.”
