Simon Fitzpatrick has returned with a new video, and this one finds the impressive bassist performing Francisco Tarrega’s “Maria” on an 8-string bass.

NPR Music is celebrating Black Music Month, and the videos so far have been amazing. Here’s another that stood out for me, with pianist James Francies and his band (including bassist Or Bareket) performing three songs.

Every time I see a new video by the Berklee Indian Ensemble, I immediately watch it. In this clip, the ensemble is joined by Shreya Ghoshal to perform “Sundari Pennae”, with Guy Bernfeld on bass.

Mr. Big’s celebrated the 30th anniversary of the release of “Lean Into It” last year. Billy Sheehan decided to take this trip down memory lane, performing along to “Daddy, Brother, Lover, Little Boy”.

Zander Zon’s latest video features an arrangement based on his original tune, “Circle of Melodies”. I’ve always loved this tune from his album, “Sonorous”.
