Bassist Simon Paré sent us this video of a very ambitious performance. Simon got together members of the Canadian Armed Forces Big Band and created an entirely virtual video performance of “Soul Intro” and “The Chicken”.

Jimmy Haslip shared a video on Facebook the other day from bassist Edgar Pagan and the song “Taino Spirit”. In this clip, Haslip plays a Cuatro and percussion. I love this sound!

Chance Wilder Onody shared this video on our Facebook Group, and I was knocked out by it. “The Music That Was Us” showcases Chance playing nearly 100 instrumental parts. Doane Perry, (Jethro Tull, Laughing Gull Studio) handles drums.

Whenever a new video by Fernando Lamadrid hits my radar, I watch it right away. Here’s a brand-new clip from him of the tune, “Equinoccio,” from his latest album, “De Paso”. The instrumentation and musicianship with this one are incredible.
