Our friend Pete O’Neill shared a new video with us, with a tune he wrote after first discovering the music of Michael Manring. “I wanted to try to write something pretty like ‘The Enormous Room’, even though I didn’t have a Hyperbass,” Pete shared.

Dirty Loops keeps bringing some excellent videos and tunes in their “Songs for Lovers” series. In this one, Henrik Linder and the band perform “Pink Power.”

It’s always great to see a video with Wes Stephenson hit the feed. In this clip, Wes performs with the Mark Lettieri Group for a live-streamed show at the Guitar Sanctuary in McKinney, TX on Aug. 22, 2020.

Back in July, Mike Portnoy, Stu Hamm, Paulie Z, Walter Ino got together virtually to record something in support of the David Z Foundation. They chose Rush’s “YYZ” as the tune, and Stu threw in some cool slap and tap lines throughout.

Bassist, songwriter, and artist Treneti Brown has just released a video for her song “Immortal One,” which marks the first music video release from her debut album “Psalms of Saturn”. The downtempo track features a heavy bass line that helps create a mystical sound.

The Faces “Stay with Me” is one of my all-time favorites, thanks in large part to Ronnie Lane’s all-time great bass line. Here’s a clip of the band performing the tune on the BBC program “Sounds For Saturday” on October 26, 1971.

No Treble reader Teodoras Balciauskis reached out to us with a new video he’s recently recorded. “This one features multiple interesting bass playing techniques and blends in electronic music to bring together such an emotional piece,” he shared.

Scott King sent us this video, and we’re digging the creativity (and the tune!) “I wrote this tune based on the sound I heard from a washing machine... basically a really fast train groove (I actually slowed it down to 160 bpm),” he shared.

The great Melvin Lee Davis just dropped an epic video featuring a brand-new tune. Written by Davis and keyboardist Mike Cee Carpenter, here’s the funky “J-Dub Walkin’.”

Orlando le Fleming has released a second video for his upcoming album, “Romantic Funk: The Unfamiliar”. “FOMO Blues” features a burning, syncopated groove with le Fleming locking in with drummer Nate Wood.
