Kiefer Shackelford and Abraham Laboriel Sr.: Impromptu Jam
Any time I see a video featuring Abraham Laboriel Sr., I drop what I’m doing to watch. Spectrasonics put on an event to showcase their gear, with Kiefer Shackelford and his band. They also had a surprise in store: inviting Laboriel Sr. to the stage.
The Band Geeks: Roundabout
There are some pretty amazing videos being shared during this time of social distancing. Here’s one by The Band Geeks, who put together their “Quarantine Edition” cover of the Yes tune, “Roundabout.”
Antoine Baril: One Man Rush Medley
Our friend Rob Waxman shared this video on Facebook, and it blew me away. The video was released in 2015, but it was new to us. Antoine Baril put together this massive medley of Rush tunes and then proceeded to play the bass, guitar, and drums.
Spare Parts: Herbie’s Tune
It has been a while since we’ve been able to feature Spare Parts. They’re back with a new “Quarantine Collaboration” series of videos, and they’re sounding as good as ever. Check out their performance “Herbie’s Tune” - in honor of Herbie Hancock.
Ghost-Note with MonoNeon: Inner Turmoil
I really dig the Zildjian LIVE! series. I also really dig Ghost-Note. In this clip, drummer Sarah Thawer takes the spotlight on the tune, “Inner Turmoil,” and MonoNeon once again lays it down with some impressive lines. This one has it all!

Studio Jams #69: Open Jam / Tutu
I’ve been a long time fan of Studio Jams. Here’s episode #69, which was filmed on April 18, 2015. Nathan East, James “Biscuit” Rouse, Gil Parris, and Matt King combine an open jam with “Tutu” in this clip.
Offer Ram: “The Rain Song” Solo Bass Arrangement
Last month, Offer Ram shared this stunning video of him performing a beautiful solo bass cover of Led Zeppelin’s “The Rain Song.” Such a chill tune, expertly arranged for bass.
