Aaron Gibson and Nahuel Bronzini are working together on some really exciting new music. Their latest track, an acoustic version of “The Other Thing”, just released along with this beautiful video.

Late last month, we shared the release of a new single by bassist Mai Leisz. Mai debuted the video for the track last night, and it is equally powerful in the music, the visuals, and the message. Check out “Ho'oponopono”

Anthony Crawford has released a killer new playthrough of the epic “We Are Nothing” by Witherfall. The epic 11-minute song showcases his incredible agility as well as his melodic sense during the breakdown.

The Purdie Shuffle is one of the greatest drum grooves of all time, and Bernard Purdie is often spirited when he explains his pattern. Bassist Nick Schendzielos had some fun with one of Purdie’s videos to create an awesome and hilarious clip of his own.

Vulfpeck’s “Dean Town” has been covered by a ton of bassists, but I’m not sure I’ve ever seen a cover like this one. Thomas Allin took the tune and performed it on a double bass - with a bow.

My friend Michael Modeste shared this video on Facebook yesterday. Michael got together with some friends he had’t played with for years. The call themselves the #CTQuarantineAllStars. Here’s their epic virtual cover of Rush’s “Limelight”.

As we said a while back, it is so great to see Viaceslav Svedov back making videos. Here’s a new one by him, with a funky slap version of Metallica’s “Creeping Death”. Viaceslav calls it “Creeping Slap.”

Harriet Tubman visited KEXP on January 21st, and these videos were released on June 1st. I couldn’t decide which of the 4 videos to share... so I’m including them all. I love the whole band, but I especially love the bass work of Melvin Gibbs.

No Treble reader Giacomo Gastaldi (AKA JKONaudio) sent us this video, and it is quite the ride! He did a remix of Vulfpeck’s hit tune, “Dean Town” - and kicked it up a few notches.

While I’ve been lately focused on his work with Ghost-Note, any time MonoNeon drops a new video, I’m watching. In this clip, he takes Madlib’s “Fallin” track and adds some seriously funky bass to it.

Steve Uccello sent us his latest video, which is a bass ensemble version of Benny Golson’s “Thursday’s Theme”. Along with drummer Billy Jones, the bassist covers all parts of the song with two double basses and a resophonic contrabass guitar.
