I saw this video by Quintin Berry yesterday on Facebook. Somehow I missed it back in 2017 when he originally shared it. Here’s the official video for Quintin’s tune, “Watching You,” which features him on vocals, some gnarly bass, and his unique way of playing.

Here’s a great video of Squarepusher and his band Shobaleader One performing for the Boiler Room, which is a web series celebrating club culture. The band played a mix of Squarepusher’s classic songs: “Hello Meow,” “A Journey to Reedham (7AM Mix),” and “E8 Boogie.”

Black Pumas won the “Best New Band” award at the 2019 Austin Music Awards, and this video should demonstrate why. The band recently made an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, performing their song “Colors.”

Reverb shared this cool video of Snarky Puppy bassist/bandleader Michael League demoing some of his favorite pedal tricks, sharing stories of his favorite bassists, and his philosophy on using pedals, including “Is this the most musically appropriate thing?”

Bassist and No Treble reader Pete O’Neill shared his video with us saying, “Always loved the 80s melodies. This one is ‘Take on Me’ By A-HA.”

Scary Pockets is back with a new video, once featuring the groovy bass lines of Joe Ayoub. In this clip, the band is joined by guest vocalist Maiya Sykes and a mashup of Etta James’ “I’d Rather Go Blind” and Lauryn Hill’s “Doo Wop.”

Bobby Vega didn’t make this year’s NAMM Show (and we missed him big time). Thankfully, Scott’s Bass Lessons shared this clip recently of Bobby and Scott Devine discussing all things slap bass – and showing us the way.

Marleaux is celebrating 30 years in business this year. So Lisa Wulff, Lisa Köberlein, Nicole Badila, Joanna Dudkowska, and Ariane Cap got together to put together a special video to mark the event. “Best Friends” is an epic bass tune, written by Wulff.

The last time we featured a video with Juna Serita, we were all knocked out her cover of Tower of Power’s “What Is Hip?” Now our friends at BassTheWorld have shared a groovy video by Juna Serita and her band performing “The Princess of Funk.”

The NAMM Show kicked off the right way with Marcus Miller’s “Bass to Bass Marcus” event last night. Here’s a clip of Marcus, Jason Leopold, and Federico Malaman on an all-bass version of “What’s Going On.”

Zildjian Live! shared this video last summer, and while it is mostly focused on drummer Omar Hakim, it also includes an incredible collaboration with Ghost-Note. The band, anchored by the bass work of MonoNeon, performs Hakim’s “Convergence.”

Berklee’s bass department recently shared this video by Brad Williamson, who took on the Weather Report tune, “Teen Town,” penned by Jaco Pastorius as a solo bass performance.
