Cory Wong released a new album two days ago, and he’s shared a video of the band performing one of the tracks. “Winslow” once again features the funky bass lines of Sonny T.

This one hurts. After learning the devastating news of Neil Peart’s passing, I thought it fitting to share this video of Rush performing during the “Time Machine” tour in 2011. RIP, Mr. Peart.

Bassist Gabriel Severn took a backing track called “Fusion Express” from Free Drumless Tracks and added a bass part. He decided it would sound better with a drummer, so he brought in Vinnie Aguas. These guys a bringing it!

Back in 1997, D’Angelo made an appearance on the Chris Rock Show on Valentine’s Day, along with Ali Shaheed, Spanky, Saadiq, and Questlove. They tore it up on D’Angelo’s hit song, “Lady.”

Yussef Dayes and Alfa Mist is a very cool band. Rocco Palladino (Pino’s son) is the bassist, and I’m guessing he’s had some amazing bass lessons over the years. Here they are again, performing Dayes’ “Love Is The Message.”

Jason Raso sent us this video, and I immediately watched it, thinking, “this has a great Weather Report vibe!” Then I read the note: “Respectfully dedicated to Joe Zawinul and the music of Weather Report.”
