Back in 2010, when No Treble was still quite young, we featured a video by Michael Pipoquinha, who was 13 at the time. Here’s a new one, with him performing “Teen Town” with the Latvian Radio Big Band. It has been an amazing journey to watch!

Our friends at Bass The World have shared another great video. In this clip, the duo Ailia X, with vocalist Jeliazka Belchilova and bassist Alexander Lekov perform “Beyond The Horizon.”

As I’ve mentioned several times, I’m a huge Ray Brown fan. He set the standard for jazz bass, and while he could get funky from time to time, he never strayed too far from the straight-ahead. That’s why I was blown away to find this recently unearthed video of him performing “Teen Town.”

Thundercat took part in the “Mac Miller: A Celebration of Life” concert last year, and performed his tune, “Them Changes.” He was joined by two backing bassists - Adam Blackstone and Dwayne Moore - and guitarist John Mayer.

It has been a while since we first featured Milk’n Blues, who does some pretty epic covers. In this clip, they take on The Doobie Brothers, “Long Train Runnin’,” with Eduardo Machado laying it down.

Earlier this month we featured Melissa Petitto in our Reader Spotlight. A few days ago, Melissa reached out to us to share her new video, which includes Snarky Puppy keyboardist Shaun Martin, drummer Flaviano Pennisi, and Melissa on vocals and bass. The trio performs Stevie Wonder’s “Higher Ground.”

YYNOT has been hitting the road lately, performing their original music and epic covers of Rush tunes. Here’s a recent video from one of their live performances, where they take on Rush’s “Beneath, Between, and Behind,” from “Fly by Night.”

Here’s a fantastic clip of John Patitucci and his Electric Guitar Quartet (featuring Adam Rogers and Steve Cardenas on guitars, and Nate Smith on drums.) The quartet performs “Four in One” live.

Keyboardist/vocalist Alina Engibaryan released “We Are” in February 2018. The band, which includes Michael League on bass, Chris Potter on sax, and Kendrick Scott on drums just released the video for the track, “Doesn’t Seem So Real.”

Brad Russell sent us his latest video, and while it is short, it is full octane. “Here’s a different take on the fusion tune ‘Got a Match’… Some Van Halen meets Chick Corea but played on bass!” Brad shared.

Stuart Clayton is publishing so much content, like this “Giants of Bass” entry focusing on the style of the great John Paul Jones.

Back in 2014, we featured a popular video by La Banda de Arturex, thanks to Didier Parra sharing it with us. Didier emailed us again with another funky tune he recorded with the band during the same session.
