The Kala U-Basses are a blast to play, but Ben Rouse takes things up a notch with his performance of Bach’s “Cello Suite No.1 – Prelude”. Ben shared this video with us and said he loves how the tune sounds on the U-Bass, which he’s running through a Fishman Loudbox mini acoustic amp.

Adrian Maruszczyk (the bassist on the right) shared this video with us of a blues duet he did with bassist Arnold Ogrodnik. It isn’t often you see bass played with a slide, but I dig it. How about you?

When Flemming shared Kenneth Dahl Knudsen’s video of the tune “Tucked In”, I became an instant fan. Kenneth has just shared a video of his new large ensemble in a live performance of “Light Unfolds”. So so good.

Gallien-Krueger has released their latest artist video with Rufus Philpot’s trio laying down a solid jam. Philpot, who is joined by drummer Raul Pineda and keyboardist Lao Tizer, floats some melodic lines overtop of a synth pad before kicking into the Latin-tinged groove.

Herbie Hancock took the stage at the Tokyo Jazz Festival in 2005 with a version of the Headhunters which included bassist Marcus Miller.
