Brazilian bassist and composer Walter Areia has just released a beautiful new song called “Sol e o Girassol.” Written as a theme for his sister, Solange, the song paints a gorgeous picture.

Scary Pockets is back with another cover, and this one grooves, thanks in part to Joe Ayoub. Guest vocalist Sophia James fronts the band on this take of Fleetwood Mac’s “The Chain.”

We love when readers send us their videos. Iván Tenorio sent us this one he recorded with his wife, vocalist Dafne Torsáe. The duo beautifully performs “Alfonsina y el mar.”

The Main Squeeze is once again getting the led out with their latest video. Things kick off with Rob Walker on the band’s cover of “Dazed and Confused.”

Zander Zon’s “Sonorous” album is one I’ve enjoyed for many years. “Epic Love” is among my favorite tracks on it, so it was a thrill to see him release this new video this week, revisiting the tune.

Zycopolis TV shared this video this morning, and it is a great blast from the past. Filmed at Paradiso 2008, here’s the trio of Stanley Clark, Marcus Miller, and Victor Wooten (known as S.M.V.) performing “Thunder.”

My friend Jim Miller shared this video on Facebook recently, and I was surprised I hadn’t seen it before. Here’s Jeff Beck with Rhonda Smith performing one of my all-time favorite tunes, Mahavishnu Orchestra’s “You Know You Know,” live in Tokyo.

The Hindley Street Country Club is a band in Adelaide, South Australia, started by bassist Constantine Delo. Here’s a great video of the band performing The Doobie Brothers’ tune, “Long Train Runnin’.”

Charles Berthoud recently dropped this video for his tune, “Sands of Time.” I know I shouldn’t be surprised when I watch a new video by Charles, but he always makes my jaw hit the floor.

No Treble reader Martin DeGrace sent us his latest video, a high-octane, multi-camera of bass goodness. Martin said: “No guitars. How much bass is too much?”

Rebecca Johnson dropped a video yesterday simply titled “Solos.” Recorded live on February 18th, Rebecca, drummer Con Settineri and guitarist Mark Johns each do just that.

Cory Wong is on tour with Victor Wooten right now, and last night, they live-streamed their concert at The Fillmore in Philadelphia. The concert also includes Sonny T on bass. Here’s the entire performance.
