Chickenfoot Working On New Album

ChickenfootRock supergroup Chickenfoot, featuring ex-Van Halen bassist Michael Anthony, have announced that they have begun work on their second album, with plans to finish it up early next year for a Spring 2011 release. This comes only a couple weeks after the release of their concert DVD, Get Your Buzz on Live. The quartet had a productive recording session before the DVD’s release party at Sammy Hagar’s Cabo Wabo Cantina.

Guitarist Joe Satriani says the process is easier than with their first album. “This time around it doesn’t seem too scary to try to pull it off,” he stated. “We know we’ve done it once. The whole scheduling thing doesn’t scare us like it did last time. We’re more relaxed about the fact everyone has got crazy schedules and know that when we do get together, it’s really fun.”

The group also consists of drummer Chad Smith (Red Hot Chili Peppers) and singer Sammy Hagar. Visit Chickenfoot on the web at their official website.
