This track sounds like Hofner with flat wound strings ! I agree ! Probably taked in two sequences one for the basic line and the other for the riff ;Ecxellent Mac Giver work for Martin and Mac Cartney ! Magnifique !
That sounds more like the rick than the hofner…the hofner doesn’t quite ‘click’ like that.

Paul is playing his Ric on “Hey Bulldog.” Here is film of the Beatles recording it. The session was filmed and the footage used as a video for “Lady Madonna.” The footage was re-edited and synced to the actual Bulldog audio circa 1999.
