Dr. Randall Kertz, DC has released an all-new, second edition of his popular book, The Bassist’s Guide to Injury Management, Prevention and Better Health. The second edition features expanded content and a new cover.
The Bassist’s Guide is written specifically for bassists, dealing with the common, and not-so-common issues bass players encounter when practicing and performing, as well as every day life situations. Kertz breaks down these issues and offers advice on prevention and treatment, as well as exercises to overcome them.
The first edition’s tips from professional bassists has been expanded to include information for double bassists and including interviews with Esperanza Spalding and John Clayton, plus the addition of interviews with Chuck Rainey and Lemmy Kilmister. First edition interviews with Steve Bailey, David Ellefson, Putter Smith, and Victor Wooten are included as well.
The Bassist’s Guide to Injury Management, Prevention and Better Health is available directly from Dr. Kertz’s website.
Editor’s note: Dr. Kertz is a No Treble columnist who writes the Health & Fitness for The Working Bassist column.
