Lots of exciting things are showing up this year for Europe’s Musikmesse trade show, including the Sandberg Electra Vs 4. While the wood, routing, and varnish processes take place in Korea to keep prices down, the bass is assembled and checked for quality control at the company’s headquarters in Germany.
The Electra Vs 4 features bolt-on construction with a basswood body, Canadian hard rock maple neck, and rosewood fingerboard. The bass’s split coil pickup is matched with a 2-band EQ. The controls are configured Bass, Treble, and Volume, which is also a push/pull knob to switch between active and passive.
According to Mike Van Tine of North American distributor Diffusion Audio, the Sandberg Electra Vs 4 will be shipping in July with a price point around $899. For more info, check out the Sandberg website.
