Cliff Burton Documentary: The Salvation Kingdom

The late, great Cliff Burton is the subject of a new documentary called The Salvation Kingdom. The 93-minute video is an intimate look at Burton as a person largely based on interviews with his sister, Connie. It covers the bassist’s childhood, his hobbies, his practicing, his beliefs, and more.

“He would go into a state of mind and of spirit that excelled all else but the music Cliff was playing at the moment,” Connie says. “He was so committed and so dedicated to his music. He was married to it. That was his first priority. He would practice anywhere from six to eight hours a day in his room.”

In his time with No Treble, Kevin has met hundreds of amazing bassists and interviewed icons like Jack Casady, Victor Wooten, Les Claypool, Marcus Miller, and more. He's a gigging bassist performing jazz in Northern Virginia and bluegrass with The Plate Scrapers up and down the East Coast. Kevin appreciates all genres of music, from R&B to metal and everything in between. Connect with Kevin on Facebook and check his performance schedule on his website.
