Zorg Effects Expands the Love Philter MKII: Modular Envelope Madness for Bass

France’s Zorg Effects has updated their flagship envelope filter with the Love Philter MKII, which they say is made to “recreate the fun of CV in/out pedals with an amount of controls high enough to challenge your creativity.” The pedal, effective on everything from bass to synths, has three modules built into it.
“First it is a low pass or high pass resonant filter based on a filter chip used in the Oberheim synths in the 80’s, resonance can be adjusted up to auto oscillation,” they explain.” Second: an envelope module is available with full controls on attack, release and polarity. And third, a LFO module allows to dial between 8 waveforms and set the frequency with a knob or a tap tempo.”
For deep flexibility, the Love Philter MKII has nine CV ins and outs as well as an expression pedal jack. The I/O structure allows you to make the pedal act like anything, from an auto-wah to a fixed high-pass resonant filter.
Hear some of the possibilities in this bass demo featuring Louis Nicolas Gubert.
The Zorg Effects Love Philter MKII is available now for around $289.
