Watch Nate Wood Play Bass and Drums At the Same Time on Kneebody’s “Repeat After Me”
Kneebody is releasing a new album, Reach, in April, but we get a first look at some of the music.
The band shared this video for “Repeat After Me,” which features Nate Wood on drums and bass, Ben Wendel on tenor sax, Shane Endsley on trumpet, and Adam Benjamin on keys.
“Just a cheeky title for a cheeky song! I love composing for Kneebody in ways that are a little left of center in some way,” Wendel shared. “This song, for example, is me trying to channel a morse code type melody through groove and shifting harmony. It is something this band is very good at Navigating!”
