Inside Frank Bello’s Signature Spector: A Custom Purple Finish, EMGs, and a Personal Story

Back in January, we covered the news that Spector was unveiling a signature bass for Anthrax bassist Frank Bello at the NAMM Show. Now the collaboration, dubbed the NC-4 Frank Bello, is shipping worldwide.
The bass is built with an alder body, one-piece maple neck, and a maple fingerboard. Its striking finish and inlays are a personal touch for Bello.
“Finished in a head-turning metallic purple affectionately named Tina Rose after Bello’s mother and grandmother and features a matching headstock, purple acrylic block inlays, and Bello’s signature EMG P/J pickup set,” Spector writes.
Other features include vintage-style chrome tuners, an adjustable bridge, and a brass nut. Hear more about it from Bello himself in this launch video:
The Spector NC-4 Frank Bello Signature Bass is shipping now for $1,499.99.
