Paz Lenchantin Releases “Novela,” Second Single From Debut Solo Album “Triste”

Paz Lenchantin has released the second single from her upcoming debut solo album, Triste. “Novela” features the former A Perfect Circle and Pixies bassist singing in Spanish with the rock band she formed in Mexico. Lenchantin spent the majority of 2024 in Petatlán, Mexico after departing from her tenure in The Pixies. It was there she started writing her own songs about faith, doubt, and self-discovery.
“I had to make this record on my own—not to prove anything, but just to have faith that music can nurture me back,” she said.
Check out the music video for “Novela”:
Lenchantin’s first solo effort promises to be a solid one, given her rock and roll pedigree. She was an original member of A Perfect Circle, appearing on Mer de Noms, which turns 25 years old this year. She left the group to join Billy Corgan’s Zwan, before joining The Pixies in 2014. She was with the group until 2024.
Paz Lenchantin’s Triste will be out on October 17th on the bassist’s own imprint, Hideous Humans Records. It’s available for pre-order on vinyl through the record label’s website.
