Death By Audio Unveils Destroyer Series: Three Compact, Stereo Pedals Built for Maximum Mayhem

Death By Audio has launched a new collection of pedals called the Destroyer Series, which includes three models: the Dream Station, the Moonbeam Phaser, and Thee Treble Overload. DBA calls the lineup their “most powerful and compact series yet, in full stereo.”
The Dream Station is a stereo reverb and delay pedal with some unique filter and delay controls.
“In this compact package, you can create any combination of echo and reverb with the Dream Station’s easy-to-use interface and feel the power of a full-stereo ambience in our smallest reverb ever,” they state. “With the three filter settings, you can explore different spaces from airy and bright, dark and moody, and full-range digital. And when you really want to go crazy, crank the ECHO F-BACK to blow your bandmates away.”
Aside from its external controls, the Dream Station has internal DIP switches for configuring the input between TS and stereo TRS or bypassing the effect trails.
The Moonbeam Phaser features two fully analog 6-stage phase shifter engines. The center knob lets you pick the stage, each of which has a different color assigned to it in the moving light indicator.
“To unleash the full potential of this unique circuit, we supercharged the FREQ control far beyond the usual range,” DBA explains. “Drift slowly through 2-minute phase sweeps, dive into liquid swirls, or blast off into ring-modulated frequency shifts. Combined with the DEPTH control, the Moonbeam Phaser opens a vast spectrum of refracted phasing tones- from shimmering rotary-style warbles to deep, resonant bends. And if one phaser wasn’t enough, we’ve packed two phasers in one, letting you bring your guitar, bass, synth, or anything you can imagine into mesmerizing stereo with the click of a stomp.”
This demo is only on guitar, but you can see the pedal’s range. (Death By Audio has bass sound samples on their website.)
Finally, the “Thee Treble Overload” brings back the treble boost circuit from DBA’s limited-edition Thee Fuzz Warr Overload pedal. The new iteration expands on the circuit with nearly 60dB of gain, a Limit control, and stereo operation. The pedal lets you slice through any mix, they say, by making your tone “mean, bright, and alive.” “To achieve that bite, Thee Treble Overload carves away bass, tightening your tone and bringing definition to whatever sound you feed it,” Death By Audio states.
Each of the Death By Audio Destroyer Series pedals are available now for $250.
