Geddy Lee "My Effin' Life" Book Tour

With the news that Rush is reuniting next year, it was guaranteed that Geddy Lee would find his way to the 2025 Reader Favorite Bassists list. It was one of, if not the, biggest music stories this year, but that’s not all that happened.

Lee began 2025 with a R50, a career-spanning box set filled with rarities and unreleased tracks. Moog teamed up with Lee for custom Minimoog Model D synthesizer, and Tech 21 teamed with the bassist to release a limited edition signed MP40 Signature SansAmp. Proceeds from the pedal (which topped our Best of 2025 Pedals & Effects list), were donated to charity in memory of the late Neil Peart.

Fans also dug into classic performances of “Tom Sawyer” and “Xanadu” to get pumped for the “Fifty Something” tour.

Revisit all the reasons why Geddy Lee made it to #7 on our 2025 Reader Favorite Bassists list.
