Watch Nathan East and Noah East Groove Through “101 Eastbound” Live

There are certain tunes that never get old, and 101 Eastbound from Fourplay is one of them. This time around, it is Nathan East onstage in Los Angeles with his son Noah East.

Nathan is holding things down on his signature Yamaha 6 string, running through his Signature Laney rig. The tone is big and clean, the tone Nathan is famous for.  Noah is on organ here, and that changes the texture in a really nice way.  He is listening, reacting, and filling space in a way that makes the whole band feel wider. They are joined by Donald Barrett on drums and Michael Ripoll on guitar, two incredible musicians to round out the group.

What makes this one stand out is the connection between him and Noah. You can hear it in the way they leave space for each other and how naturally everything lines up. It sounds like two musicians who have spent a lifetime playing together, because in a way, they have.
