Eastwood Expands Its Mark Sandman Tribute Bass to Four Strings

Last year, Eastwood Guitars unveiled “The Sandman,” a two-string bass modeled after Morphine bassist Mark Sandman‘s heavily modified Premier Scroll Bass. The company has now collaborated with Sandman’s estate to introduce the Sandman Deluxe 4-string, which pays tribute to the original Premier design.
“Its 34” scale, authentic scroll-body silhouette, inlaid scroll and streaked Ebony veneer top deliver the unmistakable looks and dark, resonant character of the 2-String Deluxe, with the added range and versatility of a traditional four-string bass,” the company writes.
The Sandman Deluxe 4-string is built with a mahogany body, maple neck, and rosewood fingerboard with white double dot inlays. Eastwood fits it with a pair of custom D-Style pickups with a volume/volume/tone control layout. Other features include an F-style bridge, vintage-style tuners, and a satin finish.
