IK Multimedia Introduces iRig 2 Mobile Interface for iOS and Android
IK Multimedia has revamped their popular mobile instrument interface with the iRig 2. The new version adds several new features including a versatile gain control, a 1/4-inch amplifier output, and Android compatibility.
The iRig 2 has a 1/4-inch input that can handle guitar, bass or other line level instruments. Its variable gain thumbwheel lets you adjust your input level to suit active or passive instruments. It connects to your mobile device’s headphone jack with a 1/8-inch TRRS output, but it also has its own headphone output and amplifier out to feed your signal to outboard gear. Other features include a dual mode FX/THRU switch, a microphone stand velcro slot, and the Amplitube FREE app.
The IK Multimedia iRig 2 is compatible with iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Mac and Android. It will be shipping soon with a street price of $39.99.
