Cort Introduces Artisan B6 Plus AS Six-String Bass

Cort’s Artisan Series has expanded with the introduction of the B6 Plus AS electric bass. The six-string, open-pore model features bolt-on construction and a “warm open sound with excellent sonic dispersion,” the company says.
Cort builds the instrument with a swamp ash body and a five-piece neck made with panga panga and walnut. The fretboard is also panga panga, which is a close relative to wenge. It’s fitted with a pair of Bartolini MK-1 pickups matched to a Markbass MB-1 EQ system. Finally, the bass is rounded out with Hipshot Ultralite tuners.
The Cort B6 Plus AS bass will be available soon and carries an MSRP of $899.99.
