Luthier Rob Elrick and Cort Guitars have teamed up to release the Elrick NJS series, which celebrates the 30th anniversary of Elrick Basses. It also marks 20 years since Cort and Elrick first introduced the Elrick eVolution Bass.

Cort has once again expanded their bass lineup with a pair of new models called the GB-Modern 4 and GB-Modern 5. They call the four and five-string basses a blend of “timeless design and modernized features.”

There’s been another shakeup in the music industry as Cor-Tek, makers of Cort instruments, have announced the acquisition of the Digitech/DOD brand, including all intellectual property and assets.

Cort has revamped their Artisan B4 and B5 Element basses with new features for 2021. The instruments, which are four- and five-string models, have been upgraded with high-mass MetalCraft bridges with a dual-string loading system, and more.

Cort is upgrading their Artisan series again this year with the introduction of the Artisan C5 Plus OVMH and C4 Plus OVMH. The new basses build on the lineup with a rounder body shape and more.

Cort has expanded their Artisan Series of basses once again with a new model. The Artisan A5 Beyond is described as the realization of a bold vision for modern bass concepts.

Cort Guitars has added to their Artisan series with the A5 Plus SC. The new bass carries many of the same features of the A5 Plus SCMS but has a standard 34-inch scale instead of a multi-scale design.

Cort has introduced the Action HH4, a bass that features a two-humbucker pickup configuration. Complete with switchable active 2-band and passive operation, the bass offers a variety of tones.

Cort has expanded its GB74 line of basses with the BG74 Gig Bass, which the company says offers “ultimate sonic versatility.” That’s due to its unique pickup configuration, which covers the three main types of bass pickups.

Adding to their Artisan series of basses, Cort has unveiled the B4 Plus AS RM bass, a four-string that incorporates four tonal woods and three finishes: Open Pore Aqua Blue, Open Pore Trans Black, and Open Pore Burgundy Red.

Cort’s GB Series has a new member: the GB54P bass.
