Warwick Introduces RockBass Alien Deluxe Thinline Hybrid Acoustic Bass Guitar
Warwick has expanded their Alien Bass series of acoustic bass guitars with a new thinner model aimed at the touring musician. The Warwick RockBass Alien Deluxe Thinline Hybrid will be available as a 4-string or 5-string in both fretted and fretless versions.
“[The bass was] designed to be thinner for more ergonomic comfort,” Warwick’s Marcus Spangler writes. “When listening to the new Thinline Hybrid you will hear the best of both worlds: the warm, mellow, natural sounds of wood that soothe your soul to the powerful cutting magnetic pickup sound that gets your heart racing.”
The electronics include a Shadow Nanomagnetic that is planted in the fingerboard as well as a piezo system under the bridge, plus a Shadow preamp with a built-in tuner. Its body is constructed with a solid spruce top and laminated back and sides. Other features include a mahogany neck, a wenge fingerboard, and Warwick hardware.
The Warwick RockBass Alien Deluxe Thinline Hybrid bass will be available this year with retail prices of $1,199 for the four-string and $1,299 for the five-string.
