What A Day: The Show Must Go On

There’s been a real resurgence in the love for Queen in the past year, thanks in part to the incredible biopic Bohemian Rhapsody. We’ve been getting quite a few Queen cover videos, but this version of “The Show Must Go On” by What A Day captured my imagination.

The song was originally featured on the album Innuendo, which was the last Queen album released before Freddy Mercury’s death. Jonathan Joly bows and plucks his bass to build a solemn foundation to accompany the beautiful and triumphant vocals of Leah Gracie.

In his time with No Treble, Kevin has met hundreds of amazing bassists and interviewed icons like Jack Casady, Victor Wooten, Les Claypool, Marcus Miller, and more. He's a gigging bassist performing jazz in Northern Virginia and bluegrass with The Plate Scrapers up and down the East Coast. Kevin appreciates all genres of music, from R&B to metal and everything in between. Connect with Kevin on Facebook and check his performance schedule on his website.
