Mac Miller with Thundercat: NPR Music Tiny Desk Concert
Last August, Mac Miller visited NPR’s Tiny Desk set, one month before his passing.
The three-song set featured one of Mac’s frequent collaborators, Thundercat, on bass. My favorite tune of the set is the second one, “What’s the Use?”, which is a great showcase for Thundercat’s playing (and he is definitely having a ton of fun playing it). That song starts around the 5:40 mark.
Joe Cleveland also performs bass on the set.
It is rare for NPR to have a guest multiple times on the show, but Thundercat made his own appearance in 2017.
Following this recording, NPR published Remembering Mac Miller.
